Upon My Perch

Under the moon, so vivid, so bright;
In the motionless field, filled with pale light;
The clouds gather close, to summon the mist;
The mist turns to fog, and brings total bliss.

Upon my perch, this shallow built wall;
The darkness behind me, to cushion my fall;
I wait for her prescence, to shatter despair;
To bring back my sanity, with a swirl of her hair.

Her voice just a wisper, to comfort my soul;
Her touch like a feather, her hair black as coal;
Her eyes a deep hazel, her gaze even deeper;
Her lips stained with blood, the kiss of a weeper.

We'll stray though the headstones, we'll be hand in hand;
The moonlight to guide us, through this hallowed land;
The stars out to greet us, this twilight unwavering;
Will grant us the srength, for true love worth savoring.
